Holy Week is the religious and festive event celebrated with the greatest fervour, emotion, recollection and devotion that visitors will encounter in the Lower Aragon region. The Drum Route is one of the region's hallmarks, and event declared by the Spanish government to be of National Tourist Interest. It lets visitors to the region witness countless noise-filled processions and “Rompida de la Hora” (Breaking of the Hour) events that have brought international fame to the towns that comprise the route, as reflected in several films made by Luis Buñuel.
